Brothers in rock, Greta Van Fleet, have shared details of their forthcoming new album Starcatcher, due July 21 through Lava / Republic / EMI Records.

The album was written by the band with Dave Cobb, recorded at RCA Studios in Nashville, and is said to explore "the duality of fantasy versus reality and the contrast between light and darkness" over its 10 tracks.

"We had this idea that we wanted to tell these stories to build a universe," explained drummer Danny Wagner. "We wanted to introduce characters and motifs and these ideas that would come about here and there throughout our careers through this world."

Today, they share lead single "Meeting the Master," which "peers into an esoteric world heeded by the word of a wise teacher," according to the band.

They continued: "Sung in the voice of a devout believer, and eventual group exclamation, the song details the love these fervent followers have for their teacher and their firm belief in his vision. It's an exotic spiritual journey. A dark comedy that inevitably ends in chaos."

Listen to that below, where you'll also find the album's tracklist.

Starcatcher will mark the band's follow-up to 2021's The Battle at Garden's Gate
