Nerdy Halifax rapper Ghettosocks took to the tiny stage with Alpha Flight crew member Apt, who served as hype-man and occasional rhyme partner. Along with DJ Josh, they had great chemistry, but it was the banging beats, witty lyrics and topical humour that kept the crowd interested. Ghettosocks took time out from performing his underground hits like “Step to a T-Rex” and “Read a Book” to break the news that Paris Hilton was headed back to prison and also to make fun of Nicole Richie’s eating habits, which turned into a fun hook for a new song.
