"Wait" (lyric video)

To follow her 2015 Polaris Music Prize-nominated debut A Taller Us, FOXTROTT (a.k.a Marie-Hélène Delorme) is set to deliver a series of three EPs titled Meditations. Ahead of the first instalment, she's shared a lyric video for "Wait."

The clip cuts together numerous clips of Delorme creating in her sunny home studio, moving between pieces of gear amidst subtle illustrated flourishes. The song's lyrics also appear for you to follow along with.

Meditations I is set to arrive June 15 through One Little Indian. Delorme has said that the first EP in the series represents the internal and external, as if the world were a window.

She expanded on the concept in a statement as follows:

Being present and open to the world is a wonderful thing, but that can also be threatening and scary. By opening one's heart, one also opens it to suffering and pain. The world can be simultaneously beautiful and horrific – it can make us want to close the window, but I've come to realize you have to welcome it in, with all its flaws. In vs out love vs fear, individual identity vs connection – these are all aspects I was drawn to.
