As one of the most ideal bands to play MDF, Maryland's own death metallers Dying Fetus hit the stage in top form. Legendary guitarist John Gallagher and bassist Sean Beasley traded off vocal duties, as they performed tunes spanning their lengthy catalogue, including some new tracks from their upcoming release, Reign Supreme, such as the brutal "From Womb to Waste." "Homicidal Retribution," from 2007's War of Attrition, exceptionally showcased drummer Trey Williams's intense double bass kicks, while the band's performance of "Fornication Terrorists," off 1998's Killing on Adrenaline, had a sea of fans swooning in admiration. However "In Times of War" was the highlight of their set, as it fully represents Dying Fetus at their best, with Gallagher's crushingly heavy guitar work. The band performed another excellent new track, "Invert the Idols," before ending their set with the powerful and commanding "Your Treachery Will Die With You," from 2009's Descend into Depravity.
