Diddy Interpolates Bahamas on New Song "BooHoo"

The Jeremih-featuring track uses elements of "All the Time" from 'Bahamas Is Afie'

Diddy and Bahamas both released new albums this past week — The Love Album: Off the Grid in the case of the former, and the country-tinged Bootcut for the latter. But the overlap goes deeper than that, since Diddy's album actually includes a prominent sample of Bahamas.

Diddy's song in question is "BooHoo," which features Jeremih. It's a twist on "All the Time" from 2014's Bahamas Is Afie. The similarity isn't immediately obvious, as "BooHoo" is significantly sped up compared to "All the Time" — but the connection comes out in the descending melody and the wordless backing vocal, as well as the sparse bass groove.
