After releasing their first album in 11 years, The Divine Feminine, this summer, Dexys (f.k.a. Midnight Runners) have cancelled the tour behind the record — which would have been their first stint on the North American road in 40 years.

"It is with sadness that we announce that — due to circumstances beyond our control — Dexys' November tour of the USA and Canada will no longer take place," the band shared. "Dexys were really looking forward to playing for their North American fans, and are aware that those who bought tickets will be as disappointed by this news as we are," adding that refunds are available for ticketholders at point of purchase.

Dexys were slated to play Vancouver's Vogue Theatre on October 30 and Toronto's Queen Elizabeth Theatre on November 8. The group also said that they hope to return to North America as soon as they can.
