Only a month since Vancouver pop songwriter des hume released his debut album, Bub, he's getting ready for the next one. The first single from the forthcoming FM.era is called "Shockerbaby," and it has an accompanying video.
The song is a banging, R&B-tinged synthpop tune anchored by a heavy, clanging beat and smooth guitar strums. In the accompanying video, a ghost-like (and Ghost-like) des hume appears in semi-translucent form while a woman paints a very phallic portrait. There's even a brief fight sequence involving a balaclava-wearing intruder.
Check out the "Shockerbaby" video below; it was directed by Jordan Clarke and Kasey Lum. FM.era is expected out in fall 2021.
