Courtney Love Reunites Classic Hole Lineup

Just a couple of months after a reissue of Hole's Celebrity Skin received a vinyl reissue, it's been reported that Courtney Love has brought back the classic period lineup for the first time in over a decade.

The Quietus reports that Love is currently working on new material with bassist Melissa Auf Der Maur, founding guitarist Eric Erlandson and drummer Patty Schemel, marking the first time the bandmates have all played together since 2002.

"I started playing with Patty and Melissa and Eric, just to see how that was," Love explained, adding of the situation, "We already played like three or four times in the last week."

While it's as yet unknown what the band's plans are exactly, Love is reportedly delivering a new single called "Wedding Day" this spring ahead of a handful of UK tour dates. Love had previously hinted at some Hole-related events late last year, posting a photograph of her and Erlandson and adding the caption "2014 going to be a very interesting year."
