Cass McCombs has returned with a surprise album. Seed Cake on Leap Year collects music recorded between 1999 and 2000, and you can hear it below.
The 10 previously unreleased tracks on Seed Cake on Leap Year were recorded at Jason Quever's apartment at 924 Fulton in San Francisco while McCombs was living in Berkeley.
Arriving via Domino Recording Co, Seed Cake on Leap Year will be treated to physical CD and vinyl editions, each arriving November 8. Both editions are now available for pre-order.
McCombs has also shared three videos for album cuts "Anchor Child," "Baby," and "I've Played This Song Before." All visuals were shot by various friends, and were edited by Michelle Yoon.
McCombs recently played guitar on a new Jennifer Castle album.
