Brad Fillatre

"Strangers" (video)

Newfoundland-born, Toronto-based singer-songwriter Brad Fillatre is set to unveil a brand new video for "Stangers," and Exclaim! is giving you the exclusive first look at the clip.

The track comes from an album of the same name, which is due out later this summer, and it's an emotionally raw folk ballad that pairs Fillatre's gruff vocals with melodic acoustic guitar and slow-swelling string accompaniment.

The black-and-white video is equally affecting, capturing a young boy dressed up as a cowboy out in the country, blissfully unaware "that one day his heart will be broken" — possibly by the very female friend he draws toy guns with in the middle of the woods. It was directed by Britt Wilen and shot by Lanie Knox, who filmed the piece in the early springtime scenery of Schoemberg, ON.
