Bedouin Soundclash's sophomore album, Sounding a Mosaic, was released in September 2004. To celebrate its 20th anniversary, the duo of Jay Malinowski and Eon Sinclair have announced a 2024 Canadian tour, as well as a deluxe vinyl package featuring a 7-inch with two new reimagined versions of "When the Night Feels My Song."
With support from Clerel, the Northern Soul Horns and Vernon Maytone, Bedouin Soundclash will hit the road to tour eight cities across four provinces during the final month of the year, kicking off on December 5 in Vancouver. They'll play another BC show in Victoria (December 6) before moving on to a pair of Alberta gigs in Calgary (December 7) and Edmonton (December 8).
From there, the band will make a single Quebec stop in Montreal on December 11 ahead of wrapping the run with three Ontario shows: Ottawa on December 12, Toronto on December 13 and Hamilton on December 14.
Tickets go on sale Friday (September 27) at 10 a.m. local, with pre-orders now up for the deluxe Sounding a Mosaic vinyl package — including a brand new seven-inch with "When the Night Feels My Song" reworked by Frank Turner, as well as the Interrupters and Jesse Royal.
"I am so honoured to have been asked to be part of this anniversary celebration. 'When the Night' is such a perfect song," Turner said in a release. "It soundtracked many years of my youth, always the last song of the night in the indie clubs I used to haunt, a sweet and sad celebration of life's journey. To be singing it 20 years later is a joy and an honour."
The Interrupters added, "'When The Night Feels My Song' is one of our favourite songs of all time. The melody is tattooed on our hearts. What an honour to re-imagine this immortal classic with Jesse Royal and Jay!!"
