Like so many other artists these days, Avril Lavigne has taken the plunge and started a TikTok. She did so with a perfect mashup video, featuring her 2002 hit "Sk8er Boi" and skateboarding legend Tony Hawk.
The clip begins as a music video of sorts, as Avril lip-syncs "Sk8er Boi," but it quickly cuts to Hawk doing some tricks on a half pipe while wearing an Avril-style T-shirt and tie combo. Hawk — who at age 53 is very much a Sk8er Man — is no stranger to TikTok, as he runs his own successful account.
Hawk and Lavigne didn't simply film their collaboration remotely — they actually met up in-person, and Avril shared a few photos from the day. See both the video and the behind-the-scenes photos below.
