If you read Anthony Keidis's biography and thought it'd make a great movie, you're in luck — a biopic about the Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman is currently in development at Universal Pictures.
As reported by Deadline, Universal has obtained the rights to Kiedis's 2004 biography Scar Tissue, which went into great, often shocking detail about his childhood, addiction issues and the beginnings of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Kiedis is set to produce the film with longtime manager Guy Oseary and mogul Brian Grazer.
The Chili Peppers dropped their latest albums — Unlimited Love and Return of the Dream Canteen — in 2022. Their Unlimited Love Tour resumes on May 28 in Washington.
