Be sure to check your kids' Halloween candy this year; we just found a bottle of Rev inside of a chocolate bar. Naturally, the beverage is seeing a resurgence in light of Alvvays and their excellent new album Blue Rev — and the Toronto-based band are taking the celebration into spooky season by remembering the gospel of "Sharp Dressed Man."

While playing a show at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on Saturday night (October 29), Molly Rankin and co. performed a cover of ZZ Top's "La Grange" while donning the band's signature look: black suits, hats, sunglasses and long, luscious beards. Rankin even inflected her best Southern drawl for the hit from 1973's Tres Hombres.

As per fans on Reddit, Alvvays openers Slow Pulp likewise got into the spirit, reportedly dressing as Scooby-Doo and the gang. Commenters also shared that Alzzays committed to the bit and wore their beards for half the show — with the exception of Rankin, who kept losing hers along with her hat.

Check out some fan-shot clips of the performance below, and read Exclaim!'s recent interview with Rankin.
