The nominations for the 23rd anniversary Jim Beam INDIE Awards have been announced ahead of the annual event, taking place at Toronto's Danforth Music Hall on June 6 as part of Canadian Music Week celebrations.
Allison Russell, Charlotte Cardin and the Beaches lead the pack with four nominations each. Karan Ajula, City and Colour, Aysanabee, AP Dhillon and Connor Price each also have multiple nominations, with the Album of the Year category being rounded out by Metric's Formentera II, while Song of the Year adds LU KALA's "Hotter Now" to the mix.
Notably, Shawn Everett — who produced Alvvays' Blue Rev, Exclaim!'s Best Album of 2022 — is up for producer of the year alongside JUNO Award-winning WondaGurl, Ikky, Hill Kourkoutis, and the duo of Lowell & Gus Van Go.
Voting is now open for the 2024 INDIE Awards and tickets are on sale for the show, which will feature a headlining set from Rock Artist/Group of the Year nominees Finger Eleven. Find the full list of nominees below.
