All Things Must Pass is a new documentary following the rise and fall of Tower Records. It was directed by actor Colin Hanks (who, full disclosure, has been to my house) and got some major daps at festivals earlier this year. Now, we get our first taste of the film with a new trailer.
The clip does a good job of establishing Tower Records as a music retailer behemoth, offering up talking head interviews with people like Dave Grohl, Elton John and Bruce Springsteen. It also suggests that Napster had a major role in the store's downfall (though the film's writeup promises there's much more to the story than that).
All Things Must Pass will hit select theatres on October 15. The trailer can be viewed via Apple Trailers.
