Adrian Teacher & the Subs Reveal North American Tour, Premiere New "Cruis'n USA" Video

Following last year's excellent but under-celebrated Terminal City, Vancouver jangle-punks Adrian Teacher & the Subs have released a new single as they prepare to hit the road. The song is called "Cruis'n USA," and it comes with an accompanying video.

The song begins with an urgent, thundering punk rhythm, but the whole thing turns beautifully sweet with the entrance of chiming arpeggios and Teacher's reverb-soaked pop melodies. It clocks in at less than two minutes and has a playful lo-fi aesthetic, which is perfectly matched by the accompanying video.

The clip shows the trio — two of whom used to play in the bands Apollo Ghosts and COOL TV, if you're keeping tabs — visiting a tarot card reader who warns them against greed and commercialism. This leads to a twist ending with a DIY punk show.

As for the tour, the trek primarily sticks to the U.S., where the band will be repping Canada down south by playing several shows with Wolf Parade and Japandroids (speaking of which, if you watch the video closely enough and you might just catch a Japandroids cameo). The tour all closes with a hometown Vancouver show on May 26.
