Today is Wednesday, which means a new pink outfit and a new trailer for the film adaptation of the Mean Girls musical. Paramount has released the first official trailer for the new Mean Girls movie today, which is scheduled to arrive in theatres on January 12.
The trailer (set to Olivia Rodrigo's "Get Him Back") adds a modern, Gen-Z-inspired flair to the beloved 2004 film, and sees Renée Rapp reclaiming her Broadway role as Regina George.
Tina Fey and Tim Meadows will also be revisiting their original roles as Ms. Norbury and Principal Duvall, respectively, and Ashley Park also makes an appearance in the trailer. Busy Philipps, Jenna Fischer and Jon Hamm are also featured in the trailer.
We also get a first look at the rest of the cast, which is full of big names in the next generation of Hollywood's young stars, including Auli'i Cravalho as Janis, Jacqueline Spivey as Damian, Angourie Rice as Cady Heron, and Christopher Britney as Aaron Samuels.
