Tony Hawk Is Making a 'Pro Skater' Documentary

Released in 2015, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 was a critical and commercial disaster, with many reviews calling it one of the worst videogames of all time. Fortunately, however, it didn't kill the once-beloved franchise. Instead, Tony Hawk is set to revisit the history of the series with a new documentary.

Tony Hawk confirmed the film's existence in a tweet. The project is being developed by former Neversoft producer Ralph D'Amato and YouTuber Icebears43ver, who has already released an unofficial Pro Skater doc (see below).

The film is called Pretending I'm a Superman — a reference to the Goldfinger song that was prominently featured in the original game's soundtrack.

That's not all. In a recent interview with Jenkem, Hawk said that he's potentially working on a new skateboarding videogame without the involvement of Activision.

"I'm potentially working on something but it's so early I couldn't talk about it," he said. "I don't have any contracts signed but it's exciting. I feel like it's with the right people so I should know more in the next couple months."

Here's hoping he can save THPS from the disaster that was THPS5.
