Director Hiro Murai and Donald Glover have had an incredibly fruitful working relationship that includes both the hit FX show Atlanta and Glover's endlessly viral Childish Gambino video "This Is America." That said, Murai has got a budding career of his own, and it may include his first proper feature.

According to Deadline, Murai is in talks to helm a new alien thriller called Man Alive for 20th Century Fox. The film was acquired by Joe Greenberg, and its script was rewritten by David Robert Mitchell (It Follows).

Man Alive reportedly follows the story of an isolated man who is trying to survive after the earth was invaded by aliens.

It's one of many projects in the works for Murai. In addition to Atlanta, he's directed episodes of Barry and Legion. He's also signed a first-look deal with FX for all future TV projects.
