HBO's hugely anticipated The Last of Us is now officially underway in Calgary.

Today actor Gabriel Luna made an Instagram post from Calgary, showing himself alongside star Pedro Pascal and Nico Parker, with the trio working alongside a few crew members.

"Already love these folks," Luna wrote, adding on the hashtags #MillerTime and #thelastofus.

As previously reported, Pascal will play the leading role of Joel in the TV series, while Luna will take the role of Joel's brother Tommy. Parker, meanwhile, will play Joel's daughter Sarah.

Bella Ramsey, who is taking the leading role of Ellie, however, was not seen in the photo. But as those who have played the game will know, Ellie doesn't make her entrance until a bit later.

As previously reported, The Last of Us has set up shop in Alberta, with the show promising to be one of the biggest productions the province has ever seen. Recently, the show put out a call for extras in Southern Alberta, asking for locals in Calgary, High River, Lethbridge and Fort Macleod to step up.

Chernobyl creator Craig Mazin is set to write and executive produce the series based on the PlayStation games, while his frequent collaborator Johan Renck will direct. Video game director Neil Druckmann will also work on the show, as both a writer and executive producer.

As of yet, it's unclear when the show will actually premiere on HBO.
