Rumours about a possible Breaking Bad movie have been circulating since last year. Now, we have confirmation from one of the series' stars Bob Odenkirk that not only is the movie definitely happening, but the film has already been shot.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Odenkirk had this to say about the upcoming Breaking Bad film:
I've heard so many different things about it, but I am excited about the Breaking Bad movie. I can't wait to see it…I don't know what people know and don't know. I find it hard to believe you don't know it was shot. They did it. You know what I mean? How is that a secret? But it is. They've done an amazing job of keeping it a secret.
The film will reportedly follow Aaron Paul's character Jesse Pinkman in the events that follow the series finale. It is still unclear whether or not Bryan Cranston will play any part in the film.
The movie is set to arrive on Netflix sometime next year.
We first heard whisperings of a Breaking Bad sequel last year when creator Vince Gilligan confirmed that he was working on the film. This summer, stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul posted the same cryptic image to their respective Twitter accounts, for what seemed to be a hint about the upcoming series. It was later revealed that the two were actually promoting their new mezcal company, Dos Hombres.
