The story of The Brothers Sun will end after only one season, with news that the Netflix series starring Michelle Yeoh has been cancelled by the streamer.
The Brothers Sun's cancellation arrives just two months after its eight episodes arrived on the service.
Created by Brad Falchuk and Byron Wu, The Brothers Sun premiered on Netflix January 4.
Alongside Yeoh, the series also starred Justin Chien, Sam Song Li, Highee Kuan and Joon Lee.
In a 7/10 review of the season, Exclaim! wrote that the performance of Oscar-winner Yeoh was an undeniable highlight of The Brothers Sun, "brilliant in a role seemingly tailor-made for her, perfectly embodying the double life of a supportive mom with a secretive past."
Chien thanked the show's viewers, creators and his castmates in a statement shared on Instagram, writing, "It fills me with so much joy knowing that the show resonated with so many people.
