He's set to star in David Ayer's 'Tax Collector'

Say what you will about Shia LaBeouf, but you can never criticize him for not committing to the bit. Take, for example, the preparation he's taken for his next film role in David Ayer's The Tax Collector. Specifically, he's gotten a full chest tattoo.

Speaking about his work with LaBeouf, Ayer had plenty of positive things to say in an interview with Slashfilm. "He's one of the best actors I've worked with, and he's the most committed to body and soul," the director said. "He had a tooth pulled on Fury, and then on Tax Collector, he got his whole chest tattooed. So he kind of goes all in, and I've never known anyone that committed."

The Tax Collector will see LaBeouf play Creeper, an enforcer for a Los Angeles crime lord who collects payments. The film is set for an August 7 release, provided it's not delayed from COVID-19.

For now, check out a trailer below, where you can also get a better look at the pretty intense chest tattoo.
