Right-Wing Weirdos Candace Owens and Ben Shapiro Team Up on 'Making a Murderer' Response Series

The conservative commentator will narrate 'Convicting a Murderer,' while 'The Daily Wire' founder will produce

For some reason, The Daily Wire's streaming service DailyWire+ will produce a right-wing conservative response series to Netflix's hit true-crime show Making a Murderer, which posited the case for the wrongful second incarceration of Steven Avery and led to a petition of more than 500,000 signatures calling for him to be pardoned.

The 10-episode Convicting a Murderer will be narrated by conservative commentator (and Ye's best bud in protecting white lives) Candace Owens. Openly bad-at-sex self-owing conservative weenie Ben Shapiro will produce with Shawn Rech directing.

"An argument can be made that Netflix made millions by transforming an irrevocably evil man, Steven Avery, into a sympathetic character," Owens said in a statement via The Daily Wire, calling the original show "a docuseries that earned awards and worldwide applause due to the moral bankruptcy of two filmmakers that were willing to murky the memory and horrific murder of Teresa Halbach — the actual victim of this tragic story."

The response series is said to include "exclusive interviews with subjects not included in the Netflix show, including law enforcement officers, family members, and fans-turned-investigators whose lives have been profoundly impacted by the case."

We first got word of Convicting a Murderer back in 2018, which is when Deadline reported Rech's involvement. At the time, DailyWire+'s involvement was not announced because it did not exist. Since its inception in 2022, the service has boasted The Jordan B. Peterson Podcast and My Dinner with Trump in its catalogue.

Making a Murderer's second season aired in 2018. There has been no announcement of a follow-up.
