Apple TV+'s Pachinko, based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Min Jin Lee, has been renewed for a second season.
News of the drama's renewal arrives ahead of the first season's finale, airing on the streaming platform today. The Korean, Japanese and English-language program was created, written and executive produced by Soo Hugh.
As previously reported, Pachinko's eight-episode debut season follows the hopes and dreams of four generations of a Korean immigrant family.
The first batch of episodes was helmed by directors Justin Chon (Blue Bayou, Ms. Purple) and Kogonada (After Yang), and starred Yuh-Jung Youn, Lee Minho, Jin Ha, Minha Kim, Anna Sawai, Eunchae Jung, Inji Jeong, Jimmi Simpson, Junwoo Han, Kaho Minami, Steve Sanghyun Noh, Soji Arai, and Yuna.
