From Westworld, to Bill & Ted Face the Music, to a new HBO series, Kid Cudi certainly has no shortage of screen time in the not-so-distant future. Now, he's announced that another new visual venture will also mark the release of a new album.
The Hollywood Reporter points out that Cudi will team up with Black-ish creator Kenya Barris to produce an "adult-focused animated music series" for Netflix titled Entergalactic. The project is based on and shares a title with a forthcoming Cudi album, which will see release through Republic Records.
According to the streaming service, the Entergalactic series "follows a young man on his journey to discover love," and will feature music from the aforementioned album. Barris and Cudi will write, star and executive produce the series, while Ian Edelmen (The After Party) will also write and exec produce.
Cudi's debut full-length album, 2009's Man on the Moon: The End of Day, featured a song titled "Enter Galactic (Love Connection Part I)." He teamed up with Kanye West last year for collaborative album Kids See Ghosts and delivered solo album Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin' in 2016.
