Kevin Spacey Books First Film Role Following Numerous Sexual Misconduct Allegations

Kevin Spacey famously had his career paused when at least 16 people accused him of sexual misconduct. The allegations started to emerge in 2017, at which point Spacey was let go from House of Cards. It looks as if the actor is attempting a comeback, however, as he's just booked his first film role since then.

As first reported by ABC News, Spacey will star in a new Italian film called L'uomo Che Disegno Dio ("The Man Who Drew God"). The film will be directed by Franco Nero and also star Nero's wife Vanessa Redgrave.

"I'm very happy Kevin agreed to participate in my film," Nero told ABC News. "I consider him a great actor and I can't wait to start the movie."

Spacey did not add comment on the role.

The actor has been accused of sexual misconduct by multiple men since 2017, and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department had investigated some claims against Spacey. However, prosecutors announced earlier this year that the charges against the actor would be dropped.

In July, Massachusetts prosecutors also dropped another criminal case against Spacey. That case was filed after an 18-year-old man alleged the actor groped him at at a bar in Nantucket in 2016. The actor also settled with another anonymous alleged victim's estate after said accuser passed away.
