A new side-scrolling Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game is in the works, and Mike Patton has helped with the tease by soundtracking its first trailer.
The voice behind Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, Tomahawk, Dead Cross and more now appears on a rocking rendition of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme song, which you can hear in a trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge below.
Patton, a lifelong TMNT fan, shared in a press release that belting out the theme song was "pure pleasure. I channelled my inner ninja spirit to deliver a track worthy of my half-shell brothers! It was an honour to serve them... and finally I made some music my nieces can enjoy!"
Developed by Montreal-based studio Tribute Games, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge is said to find the four half-shelled heroes "battling through a breathless tour of iconic TMNT locations to thwart their nemeses' most diabolical plan yet" in classic arcade-style fashion.
A release date for the game has yet to be revealed.
Later this month, Patton will release Tomahawk's first new album in eight years.
