Disney recently released Toy Story 4, meaning everyone's favourite talking playthings are back in the spotlight. Presumably, that means a renewed interest in the previous films of the franchise, one of which has been updated for the #MeToo era by deleting a joke that has not aged well at all.
In the closing credits of Toy Story 2, the film plays out a series of "bloopers" and "outtakes." Among them is a scene where Stinky Pete (voiced by Kelsey Grammer) preys on two Barbie dolls. He offers them a role in Toy Story 3 in exchange for, well, it's not entirely clear but it appears he's hinting at a sexual liaison.
"And so you two are absolutely identical?" he asks in the scene. "You know I'm sure I can get you a part in Toy Story 3." He then grabs one of the Barbie's hands, but realizes he's on camera and changes his tone to that of a genial old man.
As Vice reports, the scene was removed from a reissue of Toy Story 2 that was released earlier this year. That said, it's still widely available online. You can view the scene in question below (it starts around the 3:29 mark).
Since its release, director John Lasseter stepped down from his position as head of Disney•Pixar in 2017 after numerous allegations of sexual misconduct.
