Following the smash success of The LEGO Movie, Warner Bros. has guaranteed that a sequel will arrive in 2019, but there's plenty of colourful block-built fun to tide fans over in the meantime.
The LEGO Batman Movie hits theatres this weekend (complete with a highly suspect soundtrack), and now a trailer for The LEGO Ninjago Movie has been unveiled.
The upcoming feature film is based on the popular LEGO Ninjago TV series, and like any great action movie, the basic plot finds the characters coming together to fend off an evil warlord — who also happens to be Lloyd the Green Ninja's dad.
The voice acting cast includes Dave Franco, Justin Theroux, Fred Armisen, Abbi Jacobson, Olivia Munn, Kumail Nanjiani, Michael Peña, Zach Woods and Jackie Chan. It was directed by Charlie Bean.
