yeule Details New Album 'Evangelic Girl Is a Gun'

It's the follow-up to 2023's 'softscars'

London-based songwriter and producer Nat Ćmiel has announced their fourth studio album as yeule. The follow-up to 2023's softscars, Evangelic Girl Is a Gun is due May 30 via Ninja Tune.

Press materials describe the LP as painting "a picture with divine poise: fragmented shards of [yeule's] persona non grata, or 'darker side,' pieced together as the painterly fatale who burns through the canvas of post-modernity." They further describe Evangelic Girl Is a Gun as Ćmiel's "homage to the artist's role," illuminating "the neon glow of ego death and the transformative forms of love, immortalizing in our physical reality, their dream within all dreams."

In an Instagram post announcing the release, yeule wrote:

i salute to all the artists who walked alongside me through the light and fire. with just a flickering candle glow of an idea in my mind & nothing but a shadow, you held my hand and gave me the paint to mark its form into reality. i admire and love you all devotedly. the nature of creation is a tempestuous one. creation of art, creation of memory, creation of all things. it is both diamond heart sparkling, sentimental, fulfilling but it can also be tormenting. i come out the other way scathed for the love of making art forever and i will always love you glitches in all dimensional rifts, where angels voices echo in voids empty in crushing darkness in ether æterna.
