TO Live has announced that the inaugural edition of the UpFRONT Festival of Indigenous Arts, Music & Culture will be taking place from September 13 to 15 at the St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts and Meridian Hall in the heart of Tkaronto.
The three-day celebration of Indigenous talent from across Turtle Island and beyond will feature musical performances from William Prince, Shawnee Kish, Drezus, Amanda Rheaume, Cris Derksen and Samiah, among others, as well as comedy, puppetry, workshops and more.
Further, UpFRONT's outdoor marketplace will showcase the craftsmanship of Indigenous artisans, and you'll be able to leave your mark alongside graffiti artists on the pop-up collaborative mural. These are just some of the festival's activities that are free to the public, in addition to the ticketed shows.
Single tickets to each performance are on sale now here. So are day passes and full weekend passes, which offer unfettered access to all the event has in store.
Visit the UpFRONT page on TO Live's website for further details, and get to know the performers with TKMF Productions Curator Cynthia Lickers-Sage below.
