Mariposa Folk Festival organizers have announced a stacked lineup of performers set to take the stage in Orillia, ON, this summer.
Festivities will take place in Tudhope Park from July 5 to 7, with performances by a strong slate of Canadian performers including Bahamas, Maestro Fresh Wes, William Prince, Donovan Woods, Dwayne Gretzky, Cat Clyde, Shad, Shaina Hayes, Exclaim! New Faves alumni SHEBAD, CJ Wiley, Jeremie Albino and more.
Several significant American acts, led by Old Crow Medicine Show, Noah Cyrus, Band of Horses, Amigo the Devil, Joseph and the Secret Sisters, will also perform.
In addition to the standard programming, Mariposa's 2024 edition will also host Q host Tom Power in an unspecified role as well as a special performance by Bruce Cockburn.
The fest's first-time artistic director Spencer Shewen — who also leads the way at Riverfest Elora — expects the singer-songwriters to have a field day this year.
"With such gifted composers and lyricists as Donovan Woods, Cat Clyde, CJ Wiley and many others, I look forward to magical Mariposa moments in workshops, on side stages and on the Lightfoot Main Stage," he said.
Weekend passes, single-day tickets and camping bundles are on sale now at Mariposa's official website, where you can also find further lineup and scheduling information.
