White Fence Readies Double LP for Woodsist

BY Josiah HughesPublished Jan 30, 2012

When he's not making sounds with Darker My Love or the Strange Boys, Tim Presley creates fuzzed-out psych pop under the White Fence moniker. Last year, those vintage sounds shone on Is Growing Faith. Now, they'll be followed by a double-album set on Woodsist.

The release will consist of two companion pieces, forming Family Perfume, with each volume coming out separately.

In a press release, Presley's peer Ty Segall described the Family Perfume series, saying, "Imagine if you will, that your Uncle Frank, Aunt Jane and Cousin Ricky all made out with George Harrison at the same time and felt good about it. That's what the family perfume smells like. Like the real shit. This ain't your regular mutton chop rock."

Family Perfume, Vol. 1 will be released on April 3 via Woodsist, followed by the second record later in the spring. Then, in the summer, both releases will be available on a double LP.
