Staying as prolific as ever, Ty Segall has announced yet another new album, which time time will be another full-on collaborative work with White Fence. The LP is called Joy, and it will arrive on July 20 via Drag City.
The album is made up of 15 tracks, and it actually marks the second collaborative album from the pair, who released Hair back in 2012.
A press release had this to say about Joy:
Hair grew out of a simpler time, man! If, as the dyphrenic duo indeed affirm on Joy, rock in 2018 is dead, don't come around here looking for no burial. Instead, find Tim and Ty caught up in the commencement of on-beyond rock; arriving without travelling from the same place, occupying one single headspace, finishing the other's phrases, pulling licks from each other's places.

In addition to the new album, Segall and White Fence have announced a string of collaborative tour dates. These add to Segall's recently announced acoustic tour and find the duo playing a Canadian show together in Vancouver on October 7. As previously reported, Segall will play the city again on October 25.
Segall's last proper album was Freedom's Goblin.
