We Are the City Announce 'Above Club'

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Oct 29, 2015

BC indie rock outfit We Are the City have spent the last little while live streaming the making of their next album, but they've officially just wrapped the sessions. Even better for fans, the act have confirmed that their newly titled Above Club comes out in two weeks time.

The news was delivered by the band today (October 29), with the threesome simply noting over social media that "the album is finished," and that it hits Canadian stores November 13 via Boompa. The US edition lands the same day, though through Tooth & Nail.

While details on the tracklisting has yet to be delivered, the record is expected to include recent single "Keep on Dancing," as well as the seven other tracks the band had been working on through their live stream.

As previously reported, the act's Cayne Mackenzie (vocals/keyboards), Andrew Huculiak (drums) and David Menzel (guitar) had been holed up "in a recording studio in an undisclosed location" since October 12. Also in the studio at one point, apparently, was a "landlord" who fooled around with some equipment.

It's unclear if the latter incident, which may have involved the theft of a laptop, was scripted or not, but acts like Said the Whale and the Zolas were glued to the stream trying to sort it out.
We Are the City would go on to say that "Everything's good, everything's sorted."

You'll find the video for "Keep On Dancing" down below.
