Warren Ellis — very busy guy and lover of collaborations — tweeted this past weekend that he's been in the studio working on new music with Mazzy Star's Hope Sandoval.
"Been in the studio working on some new Hope Sandoval tracks," Ellis tweeted on Sunday. "What a voice she has."
The collaboration would mark the first time that Ellis and Sandoval have worked together. Ellis has been all over the place lately, most recently announcing This Much I Know to Be True, his upcoming Andrew Dominik-directed documentary with Nick Cave.
Sandoval's last release as Hope Sandoval & the Warm Inventions was 2017's Son of a Lady EP. She also appeared on Psychic Ills' 2021 album Songs for Tres.
