Uncut

Inspired by Uncut (disappointingly, not a gay lounge act), some tips for young rock bands coming up. Number one, get a sense of your room and try to get your audience involved in what you’re doing. Number two, when writing songs, vary your tempo. It’s impressive that you can play fast but it gets dull quickly. Number three, sullen and lethargic is no substitute for cool; it may get you laid early in your career with groupies who don’t know better but people will quickly think you’re assholes and the groupies will eventually rather fuck someone who can make them laugh as well.
