Toronto musician Ian Worang, known for his work in bands like Uncut and Bishop Morocco, has died. The details surrounding his passing haven't been publicly announced, but a GoFundMe campaign has been set up to pay for funeral costs.

Toronto label group Outside Music tweeted a tribute to Worang, writing, "A band became exponentially better when Ian Worang joined them. It was his ability but also who he was as a person; genuine, funny, and just a real good hang. He will be deeply missed by all."

As a founding member of Uncut, Worang released three full-lengths, two of them through Paper Bag Records. The band's most recent release is the 2013 album Infinite Repeats.

He also played in the band Bishop Morocco, appearing on the band's 2012 EP Old Boys, which came out through Arts & Crafts.

He was also a member of the Two Koreas, with whom he released a string of albums over the past decade and a half.

The GoFundMe campaign reads, "This fund has been arranged to help Ian's mother, Lynne Parker, pay for the funeral and burial of our late, great friend. Please pass it along to anyone you might think can help out." As of this writing, the campaign has earned $21,119 in 22 hours, easily surpassing its $5,000 goal. Go here to donate.
