U2 Unveil Wide Awake in Europe Live EP

U2 are currently gearing up for their next album and recently announced that they were collaborating with producer Danger Mouse on the as-yet-untitled new LP. Before we get to hear the product of those sessions though, the arena rockers will drop a limited-edition live EP, Wide Awake in Europe, on November 26 via Universal.

The three-song EP will be vinyl-only. As the title indicates, it was recorded live during the group's European tour this summer. Two of the songs ("I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight" and "Moment of Surrender") appeared on last year's No Line on the Horizon. As Slicing Up Eyeballs points out, the real treat is "Mercy," a leaked How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb B-side that hasn't received an official release until now.

According to a listing on online retailer the Ideal Copy, this EP will be exclusive to the U.S., but "allocations may occur." It will reportedly be sold at stores that participate in Record Store Day, but it's also available for pre-order here. The release is limited to 5,000 copies.
