Twin Bandit have been kicking around Vancouver since 2013, and now the country folk duo have inked a record deal ahead of their debut album. The duo of Hannah Walker and Jamie Elliot have signed to Nettwerk Records, and it's through this label that they will issue For You on June 29.
The album was produced by Jonathan Anderson (Said the Whale, Aidan Knight) on a farm in Maple Ridge, BC. It includes seven original tracks plus covers of "Crown" by Mason Jennings and "Shine" by Daniel Lanois.
The album tracklist is below. At the bottom of the page, stream the bittersweet folk cut "Rosalyn." In a statement, the band explained that the song was inspired by a friend who died following a battle with addiction.
Walker said, "This song is a reminder of the beauty that shines through people like Rosalyn, who bring joy into the lives of those they meet, even in the midst of their struggles."
