Troy Junker has returned to detail his first new project since 2018. The Saskatchewan-bred, Toronto-based rapper will share new EP The Path on July 20.

Five tracks in length, The Path finds Junker tapping into positivity, with uplifting messages and reminders to stay hopeful in turbulent times.

"The Path is a figure of speech for the journey we're all on in life," Junker said of the EP's title. "The music is hip-hop and electronic influenced with lyrics about growth. It features production and vocals from a lot of dope musicians that I respect and when I kick back and listen to it, The Path is a project that a young me needed to hear to know things are possible."

Junker is joined on the effort by Joey Stylez, Thea May, LUVR and Larisa Santiago, while production comes from JR Hitmaker, My Best Friend Jacob, Big Joe and Harmon1x.

Following the previously shared "Inhale Exhale," the May-assisted "We Up" arrives today, and you can hear it below. The collaboration was born out of the two artists meeting at an Indigenous songwriting camp in Toronto last year.

"Since we're in different cities, a lot of communication happened over the phone," Junker recalled. "Thea had Harmon1x on speakerphone playing keys and when I heard the melodies, I knew we had to fire it up. Then we'd get together in person to record vocals and catch a vibe."

The Path follows Junker's 2018 EP Trilly Madison.
