In celebration and recognition of Toronto's Caribbean music scene, the city's TD Music Hall will be hosting the Sound of Rhythms & Resistance — presented by Toronto Music Experience (TME) — this Saturday (November 4).
The event's lineup includes Jay Douglas, a longstanding figure in Toronto's music scene, as well as Nana McLean, Ammoye and Kairo McLean, all backed by the Human Rights. Rayzalution and DJ Chocolate will also perform. The event will be hosted by Carrie Mullings, the daughter of one of the Toronto reggae legend, Karl Mullings.
The Sound of Rhythms & Resistance is the first of its kind hosted by the TME, a new not-for-profit that intends to celebrate the diversity of Ontario's capital city through a variety of different shows and events.
More information and tickets can be found at Massey Hall's website.
