Tom DeLonge Commends Blink-182 for "Evolution" on New Single

He also shouted out Mark Hoppus' Simple Creatures side-project

Pop-punk trio Blink-182 continue to make new tunes without founding member Tom DeLonge, but the estranged alien hunter is clearly revelling in some good vibes. After all, he's just praised his former bandmates for their new tune "Blame It on My Youth."

The song, which arrived yesterday (May 8), came out on the heels of new music from DeLonge's band Angels & Airwaves. In an Instagram video, he thanked fans for buying tickets to Airwaves' upcoming tour before offering some praise to Blink-182.

Referring to Angels & Airwaves' placement on Spotify's Rock This playlist, he said, "You'll also see the new Blink song – I'm also super excited for those guys. It's cool to hear the evolution of their music. And you'll see Mark's other band Simple Creatures. It looks like a little bit of punk rock is seeping through on the National Music Lovers Index."

While we haven't quite figured out what the National Music Lovers Index is just yet, you can watch Tom's kind message below where you'll also find streams of the new Blink-182 and Angels & Airwaves tunes.
