Feline-friendly rap duo Run the Jewels have taken issue with a new movie called — wait for it — Run the Jewels.

The hip-hop pair, consisting of Killer Mike and El-P, has been working away at the possibly collab-heavy follow-up album to Run the Jewels 2, but don't expect them to be buddying up with comedian Kevin Hart anytime soon.

It was revealed yesterday (June 21) that Universal has picked up a Hart-produced picture called Run the Jewels. It's an action-comedy penned by Alex Blagg and Neel Shah that tells the story of "a group of failed rappers who attempt to rob an eccentric hip-hop mogul."

After learning about the name-sharing movie, El-P took to Twitter to voice his displeasure:

Following the threats of legal action, a follower pointed out that El-P himself had previously hinted at the possibility of a Run the Jewels movie — though, it's clear this isn't what he had in mind.

Killer Mike, on the other hand, seems to be keeping things a bit more chill. And we've got to admit, his rap moniker isn't a bad name for an amateur onscreen criminal.
