After postponing its release in April, the Killers have now confirmed a new release date for their upcoming album Imploding the Mirage. What's more, they have also offered up a new music video alongside the announcement.
The band will now release Imploding the Mirage on August 21 through Island Records. As previously reported, the album features collaborations with k.d. lang, Weyes Blood, the War on Drugs' Adam Granduciel, Blake Mills and Lucius.
Alongside the news, the Killers have given recent single "My Own Soul's Warning" the music video treatment. Like their clip for "Caution," the band's latest visual previews a forthcoming short film that was directed by Sing Lee, set to see release alongside the album.
The Killers have also axed a series of North American tour dates that were set for this fall. "As so many of us have come to realise during the COVID-19 pandemic, the idea that we would be returning to 'normal' is farther along in the future than we initially thought," the band wrote in a statement.
Imploding the Mirage will follow the Killers' 2017 album Wonderful Wonderful.
