As promised, the Calgary Stampede is coming back this summer, and today, organizers have announced the lineup of acts for the event's Summer Stage.
With the Calgary Stampede running from July 9 to 18, a ton of high-profile Canadian acts will headline the event. This includes the likes of Blue Rodeo, Stars, Sam Roberts Band, Snotty Nose Rez Kids, the Sheepdogs, Big Wreck, k-os, Odario, Dear Rouge, Said the Whale, Monster Truck and Marianas Trench, among others.
"This 2021 experience is a throwback to the big outdoor music event the Stampede had in the 70s called Summertown," Kyle Corner, Stampede programming manager, said in a statement.
"A 100 per cent homegrown lineup is our way of tipping our hats to the open-air concert area that started it all, and of course, we are kicking it up a bunch of notches with nearly 30 performances in 11 days this July."
Access to all the shows is free with admission.
