The 1975 Share New Song After Deleting Their Social Media Accounts
Hear "The 1975" from 'Notes on a Conditional Form' now
Published Jul 24, 2019Earlier today, the 1975 deleted their Twitter, Instagram and Facebook accounts, sparking speculation from fans that new music is on its way.
The band's label Dirty Hit tweeted an image that reads "WAKE UP!" alongside the band's name and a possible album or song title. The band have been hinting at a new album for some time now, tentatively named Notes on a Conditional Form, which also appears on the image shared by the label.

UPDATE (7/24, 8 p.m. EDT): Mystery solved: the teaser turns out to be a new song called "The 1975," which features Greta Thunberg — the Swedish teen who famously skipped school to raise awareness about our climate crisis — instead of singing via frontman Matt Healy. Hear "The 1975," which will appear on the upcoming album Notes on a Conditional Form, below.
Could the lead single be called "WAKE UP!" from the new album? Or is perhaps that the name of the album itself? At this point, the details remain unclear.
Fans will just have to wait until the band reactivate their social media accounts — or keep a close eye on their website and streaming platforms, which remain active.
Should the 1975 release new music, it will be the first since their late-2018 album A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships.
