Igloolik, NU's Terry Uyarak has announced a new EP titled ATIILU! is arriving tomorrow (June 21) via Aakuluk Music in honour of National Indigenous Peoples Day.
Following 2020's Nunarjua Isulinginniani, the second effort finds Uyarak going electric, reimagining three tracks from his acclaimed debut.
"I am beyond thankful for being given a chance to make another album!" he said of the follow-up in a statement. "Our time in life is our gift from our parents. This one is for my late dear mother Louise Qamaniq. For us to have united in the name of art, I believe that it is our job to give everyone back that there is hope in life, meaning looking back and love those memories that we get to make."
